From this page, you may access Draft 3.0 of the National EMS Education Standards. Clicking on the PDF icon located on the right side of the screen, will allow you to download and/or print the Education Standards for all levels of EMS provider.
As an alternative, some individuals may choose to review the standards on-line. Clicking on one of the subject lines located on the left side of the screen will link you to the individual standard for that subject. For example, if you are interested in the education standard for the Preparatory section, click on the Preparatory heading. The next screen you will see will be the competency statement for the Preparatory section. By clicking on each of the italicized sections listed under the Preparatory heading, you will see a brief explanation of the knowledge necessary to achieve the competency. You can then proceed through the document to view all the competencies and all the knowledge items necessary to achieve the competencies.
