Cam Quality
The Linksys wireless PTZ Internet camera uses the MPEG-4 and MJPEG video compression. 640×480 Video quality is good. The images appear smooth with an offset least. You can also check the video settings where you'll find that the video 25 frames per second is perfect, with the sound on, for most of the display-net.
The only downside to the picture quality is the color off. Even if you get images, smooth clear, colors are accurate. But if you use strict surveillance camera, the color fidelity should not matter too much, right?
The camera is also comes with a built-in microphone for recording audio clear. It also has a jack for an external microphone so you can choose to join one when you want the best audio quality.
Cam Features
The range Linksys Wireless PTZ Internet Camera comes with a good view, tilt and zoom. What's even better is that you can create that position and you can cycle at preset intervals or choose options such as "image pan tilt" that lets you click anywhere on the video and have the camera focus on this position.
